1. What is an OFSTED registered provider?

Sprint Active Education is proud to be Ofsted registered, which means that we meet all National Childcare Regulations. This gives you the assurance that our high standards are being regularly monitored and approved by Ofsted. Our policies and procedures are reviewed and updated regularly, and our staff are trained to provide the best possible care for your child.

2. What age does my child need to be to attend?

Our programmes are designed for children aged 4-11 who are in full-time education.

It is important to note that Ofsted regulations limit the attendance of 4-year-olds to a maximum of 4 hours per day.

3. How do I book?

Securely book your child’s place online by clicking the BOOK NOW button. We have designed the booking process to be as convenient as possible for you.

Once you’ve completed the process, you will receive a booking confirmation via email immediately.

If you require assistance with your booking, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our offices are open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. We are always happy to help.

4. Can I pay using childcare vouchers?

Yes.

As an Ofsted-registered provider, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to pay for our services. That’s why we are pleased to accept childcare vouchers. You can easily book our services online and select the option to pay with childcare vouchers at the payment page.

5. Are you insured?

We understand the importance of having complete peace of mind when it comes to insurance. That’s why our services come with comprehensive coverage that includes public liability, employers liability, and professional indemnity. You can trust us to handle your needs with the utmost care and protection.

6. What happens when I arrive?

To ensure a smooth start to your child’s course, we kindly request that you register at least 10 minutes prior to the start time.

We understand that arriving at a new location or changing routines can be nerve-wracking for both parents and children. That’s why we take great care in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for all our attendees.

Our entrances are clearly signposted, and our friendly co-ordinator will be there to greet you and your child upon arrival. They will ensure your child feels at ease and answer any questions you may have. We want you and your child to feel relaxed and excited about the upcoming course, and we’re here to make that happen.

7. What happens during collection?

To ensure the safety and well-being of all children, please take note of the following guidelines:

● Collection time is 4:00pm, unless you have made a booking for extra time.

● At the end of the day, children must be signed out by an authorised adult. This is to confirm that your child is leaving with the right person.

● If you need someone else to collect your child, please inform the Coordinator in advance.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to approach our staff.

8. What if I am running late for collection?

We value flexibility and understand that unforeseen circumstances may cause you to run a bit behind schedule. Please inform your camp coordinator by calling the unique contact number for your venue if you anticipate being late.

We kindly ask that you keep in mind the cost of staffing and the impact on our team if you are more than 10 minutes late. Therefore, a small charge will be applied in such cases. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

9. Can I cancel or amend my booking?

We understand that life can be unpredictable, and circumstances can change at short notice. That’s why we strive to make our service as flexible as possible. If you need to amend your booking, we kindly ask that you contact us as soon as possible.Due to staffing ratios, we are unable to make any changes to bookings less than 24 hours before the session. However, we have policies in place to ensure that you are still able to get the most out of your booking.

● Up to 14 days
If you notify us 14 days or more before the start of your session, we’ll be happy to offer you a full refund.

● 14 days to 24 hours
For changes made between 14 days and 24 hours before the start of your session, we can’t issue a refund, but we can transfer your booking to another day within the same time period without any extra fees.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to provide a refund or make any changes to any bookings made with less than 24 hours’ notice.

10. What should my child bring?

To ensure your child has a fun and safe time at our camp, please make sure they come prepared with the following items:

● A refillable water bottle: We have water available at all of our venues, so please send them with a bottle that they can refill throughout the day.

● A packed lunch: Please send your child with a packed lunch. We kindly ask that you avoid any items that may contain nuts, as we want to ensure the safety of everyone.

● Healthy snacks: In addition to lunch, your child will have breaks during the day to refuel with healthy snacks.

● Sunscreen: To protect your child during the warmer months, please provide them with sunscreen.

● Lots of energy: With so much excitement and adventure, your child will need lots of energy to keep up with all the fun!

11. What should my child NOT bring?

Your child will have a fun-filled day with a wide range of exciting activities to keep them engaged. To ensure their safety and prevent any distractions, we kindly request that they leave behind the following items:

– Mobile phones, electronics, or computer games
– Smart watches or any device that can record, take pictures, make calls, or send messages
– Money and valuables
– Watches or jewelry

Rest assured, your child will be in good hands and fully immersed in the enriching activities we have planned for them.

12. What should my child wear?

For optimal performance and comfort, we recommend that children wear clothing that is both appropriate for the weather and suitable for physical activity. This will ensure that they are able to fully participate and enjoy the activity without any discomfort or restrictions.

13. What if my child has a medical condition?

Your child’s safety is of utmost importance to us, and we want to ensure that their experience with us is the best it can be. To guarantee this, we kindly ask that you inform us of any medical requirements your child may have.

Please be assured that any information you provide to us will be kept strictly confidential.To make sure we are well-informed of your child’s medical needs, we kindly ask that you complete the ‘Medical Conditions’ section as thoroughly and accurately as possible when booking.

If your child requires medication, please bring it with you upon arrival and complete an administering medication form. This will help us to ensure that your child is well taken care of during their time with us.

14. Do you provide food and drink?

We kindly request that all children come prepared with their own packed lunch and snacks for morning and afternoon breaks.

Additionally, we encourage children to bring a refillable drink bottle with their name on it to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Please note that we have a strict no nuts policy on camp to accommodate those with allergies.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

15. What qualifications, training and experience do your Staff have?

Safety is our number one priority. You can trust us to provide you with peace of mind, as all of our staff are specialists in their field.

Our team is highly qualified and trained to meet the highest industry standards. Our selection process is rigorous and includes an in-depth interview, background check, and comprehensive training to ensure that our staff is equipped to handle any situation.

We take every precaution to guarantee the safety of your children, which is why we conduct enhanced DBS checks, pediatric first aid, advance safeguarding training, and professional reference checks.

We hand pick each coach based on their experience, passion, and enthusiasm for inspiring children to be happy and healthy. You can rest assured that your child will be in the best hands possible with our team

16. Can I collect my child early?

To comply with Ofsted regulations, our gates/doors remain locked until 4pm. If you need to pick up your child before this time, please inform the coordinator so that necessary arrangements can be made.

17. What happens if my child cannot attend?

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and if your child is unable to attend any of our courses, please inform us as soon as possible. You may contact your site directly during open hours, or reach out to us directly for assistance.

18. What will happen if my child has an accident or is unwell?

At all of our locations, we prioritise the safety and wellbeing of your child. With an onsite First Aider available, you can feel confident that your child is in capable hands in the event of an accident or illness.

In the case of a minor injury, our trained First Aid staff will provide immediate treatment and document all necessary details in an official accident form, which will be provided to you upon your child’s pickup.

For more serious incidents or if your child falls ill, we will promptly notify you using the emergency contact numbers you have provided.

Our commitment to your child’s safety and health is unwavering, and we strive to provide you with peace of mind while your child is in our care.

19. What happens if my child's behavior is unacceptable?

We follow a positive behavior management policy that encourages and rewards good behavior.

Our behavior code is prominently displayed throughout the day, and we ensure that every child knows what is expected of them.

In the unlikely event of any behavior issues, we take immediate action. In serious cases or if any inappropriate behavior persists and affects other children’s experience, we will notify you promptly.
